- Update to release 6.9.6 (final)
  + Qt-DAB-6.9.6 has a number of changes, compared to previous
    versions. A few affect the GUI and GUI handling
    a. the configuration and control window has undergone some
       modifications
       - selecting a tii decoder is not possible anymore, the best
         one is the standard one (and an error was removed)
       - a new selector is added - map close. When set closing the
         http (i.e. map) handler closes the map itself as well, and
         closing the map will shut down the map handler. Note that
         this does not apply when selecting the browser manually
       - as mentioned previously, a "clear" selector causes the
         scanlist to be removed on program exit
    b. In the GUI there are few changes as well
       - on request, the strength indicators are now positioned
         vertically and colored
       - the button "dxdisplay" is deleted. The text label bottom
         right, where a transmittername is shown, acts as the
         button for selecting the dxDisplay to be visible or not

- Update to release 6.9.6 (Beta)
   + A (minor) frustration was that on closing the http session the
     map remained visible and, the other way around, closing the
     map did not close the http handler. Parts of the http handler
     had to be rewritten (and -since Qt is heaviliy used - using Qt
     libraries for the networking part).
     a. when closing the "map" session by touching the http button
       (which has text "http on") tries to close the map and finish
       the http handler off
     b. when closing the map itself, the software will be noticed
       (which may take a few seconds) and the http handler will
       finish
- Patch qt-dab-6.9.4-use-qwt6-qt6.patch removed, Qwt detection wes
  improved.

- Update to release 6.9.5
  + It seems a nasty error in handling rtlsdr devices (especially wrt
    closing the device) is solved. In the rewrite, support for the
    newer V4 and the V3 version was combined: the interface software
    is now parameterized on the device library. Btw. the device
    libraries are not standard, they are specially created for this
    software
- Update to release 6.9.4 
  + Qt-DAB-6.9.4 has a number of internal changes, mostly corrections
    of code, with no visible effects
    a. the decoders (see configuration and control widget) are updated,
    b. the configuration and control widget contains a NEW selector
  + (save titles). Some - NOT ALL - ensembles have services where
    the so-called synamic labels are equipped with "DL2" indicators.
    Here, the NPO services do but the other dutch ensembles do not.
  + In Qt-DAB-6.9.4 enabling the selector instructs the software to
    extract (if possible) titles and performers from the dynamic
    labels and store these, augmented with time and ensemble info,
    in a file. shown below.

- Update to release 6.9.3
  + This update of Qt-DAB-6.9.3 addresses some minor issues, an
    update of the ".sdr" reader.
  + The writer and the reader allow files larger than 4 Gb.
- Update to release 6.9.2
  + A few minor errors were encountered and removed.
  + The configuration widget now has a selector labeled "all tii",
    that - when set - allows ALL TII values to be shown on the dxDisplay.
    If NOT set, it will filter out ALL detected TII pairs (i.e. mainId,
    subId) for which NO name could be detected in the database.
- Update to release 6.9.1
  + Fixed the naming of the files, now all Eid's and SId's in the
    filepath's are UC
  + Fixed some problems caused by misunderstanding of the string
    handling.
  + Fixed the issue that caused xml files to be not well-formed

- Update to release 6.9
  + A new implementation of a viterbi decoder is installed, and
    made default in constructing an executable. The implementation
    is parameterized on the cpu support for either none, SSE4 or
    AVX2 instructions. The software will dynamically select the
    support value
  + Merely as a gadget, clicking on any of the widgets {main
    widget, configuration and control widget, spectrum widget}
    instructs the software to generate a picture of the widget
    involvded. The picture is stored in the Qt-DAB-files filder.
- Use Qt-6 for build
- Patch qt-dab-6.8-use-qwt6-qt5.patch replaced by new one
  qt-dab-6.9-use-qwt6-qt6.patch

- update to release 6.8
  + The structure of the ini file was (re)designed, and made into
    clean paragraphs. The ini file for the 6.8 version is named
    differently. All settings done for older versions have to be
    redone
  * Software now records for each channel the service selected
    and - on re-enetering the channel - will (try to) restart the
    service.
- added a patch qt-dab-6.8-use-qwt6-qt5.patch to fix build with
  Qwt 6.3.0 available for Tumbleweed

- update to release 6.4 (aka 6.40)
  * Scanning code was largely rewritten and the scan button on the
    main widget now only controls the visibility of a scan-monitor.
  * The number of buttons on the main widget is reduced.
  * The schedule button is moved to the configuration and control
    widget, the content button, the technical widget button and the
    mute button are replaced by "clickable labels", resp. the label
    containing the ensemble name for the content button, the label
    containing the selected service name for the technical display,
    and the newly introduced speaker label for the mute button.
  * The label indicating the computer load disappeared, as well the
    the label telling the estimated TII. After all, the name of the
    transmitter is given - if available - on the bottom line of the
    widget

  * new GUI
  * quite some rewriting of code parts
  * the offsets (errors) in the decoded data are made visible by
    computing - per carrier/bin - the development of the average offset.

  * A number of mods was made to map handling.
    + Selecting a transmitter on the map will show some details on
      the right side of the map window.
    + The configuration widget allow to choose between automatically
      starting a browser of touching http select, or manually, and
      it allows to choose between viewing only the transmitters on
      the map of the current channels of also those encountered
      when visiting other channels.
