------------------------------------------------------------------- Fri Oct 2 16:00:08 UTC 2026 - Jan Engelhardt <jengelh@inai.de> - Delete unnecessary ExcludeArch line. - Wrap descriptions. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Tue Sep 29 20:51:02 UTC 2026 - Bjørn Lie <bjorn.lie@gmail.com> - Update to version 1.1.2.0: + Performance: - VLC coefficient decoding was reworked: - The exp-Golomb prefix is read with a count-leading-zeros instead of bit by bit. - The bit buffer is topped up with whole bytes before each symbol, so the prefix and suffix of a normal code are read in one step. The buffer end is never read past. - The separate k = 0 readers were removed; all run and level codes go through one reader. - Decoding is about 20–30% faster at high bitrates and about 8% faster at low bitrates, measured on x86 with both single- and multi-threaded decoding. The decoded output is bit-exact with v1.1.1.0. + Correctness and robustness: - Dequantization no longer left-shifts negative values or overflows int at high QP; the SIMD paths now saturate correctly - The exp-Golomb prefix sum no longer wraps u32 on malformed input, so builds with -fsanitize=unsigned-integer-overflow (such as Android) no longer abort - The exp-Golomb prefix length is bounded to keep decoded values within int - Metadata payload_type and payload_size are checked against u32 wraparound - OAPV_MAX_NUM_META_PAYLOADS is enforced per access unit in oapvm_set() - Encoder error paths release the input and reconstruction image references - Reconstructed AC coefficients are checked against the 16-bit range - The encoder enforces the minimum tile width and height of the constrained profiles - Decoder API hardening: output stride and plane count validation, NULL argument checks - For more detailed changes between 1.1.2.0 and 0.3.0.0: Please see https://github.com/AcademySoftwareFoundation/openapv/releases - Drop conditional gcc13 BuildRequires needed for old unsupported versions of opensuse. - Refresh remove-opensuse-release-requirement.patch with quilt. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Mon Jun 29 12:58:58 UTC 2026 - Richard Rahl <rrahl0@opensuse.org> - Update to version 0.3.0.0: + Support APV RAW encoding and decoding + Companding (compressing + expanding) algorithm for coding 16bit 4 channel linear pixel value + New profiles are introduced to distinguish between the conventional APV and APV RAW ------------------------------------------------------------------- Fri May 29 19:29:09 UTC 2026 - Richard Rahl <rrahl0@opensuse.org> - Update to version 0.2.1.3: + Validates that the image buffer has enough space for the decoded image ------------------------------------------------------------------- Tue Mar 17 09:37:00 UTC 2026 - Richard Rahl <rrahl0@opensuse.org> - Update to version 0.2.1.2: * Prevention of decoder crash in case of malformed input stream * Bug fix in handling code of thread return values ------------------------------------------------------------------- Mon Feb 23 12:40:21 UTC 2026 - Richard Rahl <rrahl0@opensuse.org> - Update to version 0.2.1.1: * Applies the pretection code to avoid to access over the boundary of input bitstream memory ------------------------------------------------------------------- Fri Jan 30 11:30:49 UTC 2026 - Richard Rahl <rrahl0@opensuse.org> - Update to version 0.2.1.0: * New API to encode metadata information to bitstream syntax * 64bits-based codeword reading and writing to support a large symbol more than 32bits * Fixed bug in tile calculation in ImHex pattern file ------------------------------------------------------------------- Tue Nov 11 11:11:11 UTC 2025 - olaf@aepfle.de - devel package requires the library - primary package requires the library - source requires at least gcc 8 ------------------------------------------------------------------- Tue Oct 7 11:41:32 UTC 2025 - Richard Rahl <rrahl0@opensuse.org> - update to version 0.2.0.4: * Support the setting color aspects (color-primaries, color-matrix, color-transfer, and color-range) through encoder application arguments * Update README ------------------------------------------------------------------- Tue Sep 16 12:16:58 UTC 2025 - Richard Rahl <rrahl0@opensuse.org> - update to version 0.2.0.3: * Hotfix for malfunctional rate control algorithm in 'constant color frame' like black screen - update to version 0.2.0.2: * Improved the automatic assigning of band_idc value * Fixed typo in APV family readme * Impoved decoder ctests ------------------------------------------------------------------- Wed Jul 30 19:03:49 UTC 2025 - Richard Rahl <rrahl0@opensuse.org> - update to version 0.2.0.1: * Fixed bug in case of zero-byte metadata payload * Improve ImHex pattern file to show metadata syntaxes ------------------------------------------------------------------- Wed Jul 23 14:23:43 UTC 2025 - Richard Rahl <rrahl0@opensuse.org> - disable building on %{ix86} ------------------------------------------------------------------- Wed Jul 23 13:11:12 UTC 2025 - Richard Rahl <rrahl0@opensuse.org> - update to version 0.2.0.0: * Adds 'APV family' (typical target bitrate) definition * Updates 'level' table according to APV spec changes * Improves coding gain according to preset values through enhanced RDOQ and RDO * Supports various profiles: 422-12, 444-10, 444-12, 4444-10, 4444-12, and 400-10 * Speed-up encoding and decoding time * Safe bitstreasm buffer access by one byte-level addressing * Safe management of metadata by instance copy * Introduces a method to disable the 'Raw bitstream format' in encoding and decoding API * new API for getting version number * new logo of OpenAPV project provided by ASWF - remove 010-openapv-fix-pkgconfig.patch, upstream applied the patch ------------------------------------------------------------------- Mon May 5 18:25:45 UTC 2025 - Richard Rahl <rrahl0@opensuse.org> - initial packaging
